Gringos B&B Buzios, Brazil
If you want beach paradise and comforting luxury then look no further than Gringos B&B in Buzios. The friendly and welcoming hotel is located up on a hill, with incredible facilities and unbeatable sea views.
The hotel
Gringos is located just a few minutes walk from Ferradurinha and Geriba beaches. The hotel is set on top of a hill, which means it has stunning sea and mountain views of the region, and its two sun terraces and an infinity pool are great places to enjoy the fantastic views from. The hotel also has a bar, a spa, with an outdoor Jacuzzi, and a communal lounge area.
Our room
The hotel has a modern interior and furnishings, with plenty of windows, which make it feel light and spacious. This same feel was also continued into the décor of our room. The sleek yet homely design was both comfortable and clean.
We had all of the mod-cons we could need for our stay: a minibar, air conditioning, excellent wifi connection, a large flat screen smart TV and a great shower. Most importantly, the room also had spectacular views of the sea and the surrounding hills. The neutral colored-room was very romantic – and the owners even decorated our bed with petals.
The pool and spa area
The pool area was also in-keeping with the modern theme of the hotel, with stylish wooden decking surrounding the stunning infinity pool, which overlooked the sea and mountains. What’s more, there was a fun and lively atmosphere at the pool – with background music providing a great vibe.
Going down the stairs you will find the spa area with the outdoor Jacuzzi and sun lounges.
Food and drink was also available at reasonable prices in and around the pool area. All of the food was made by Katia, the owner, and everytime we went to the pool we literally didn’t want to leave. We ended up trying her lasagna, Empanadas, and shrimp, and everything was extremely tasty.
The breakfast and lounge area
The beautiful open-plan lounge is another great place to enjoy the welcoming and light décor of the hotel, and its friendly atmosphere. The lounge has an inside area, with a library of books and magazines to enjoy, and an outside terrace area. It’s a great place to meet other couples and travelers, and share travel tales. We spent some time chilling out in this room and felt as though we were staying in the home of a good friend.
There’s a beautifully-decorated long table in the middle of the room, where guests eat breakfast together among fresh flowers and good conversation.
Breakfast was delicious and fresh – with a selection of fresh fruits, jams, cheese bread (pan de queijo) and homemade cakes. Coffee and Cakes were also left out for guests to enjoy after breakfast in the lounge area, which we thought was a nice touch, and another reason not to leave this hotel!
The whole B&B felt like an attractive, modern and welcoming family home. We loved spending time in the communal areas of the hotel, and felt comfortable and cool when we finally retreated to our gorgeous room in the evenings.
All in all, Gringos B&B is great for relaxation, fun and comfort within the beautiful natural landscape of Buzios.
